Hi, I have been claiming in my accounts the sum of £20 per night to cover incidental costs which I would incure working away from home that I would not normally incure had I been home. The IRS say's, fine for the Hotel/Car reciept expenses, but they want reciepts for the £20/Night, they only agreed to go this far with me as I found evidence that this was an exceptable practice even for civil servants to be allocated a sum for additional expenditure. Question: Do I realy have to have reciepts for this £20, bearing in mind if I had been working PAYE for somebody else, the sum would be paid in cash to me and no reciepts required? Thanks for any help here. Felicity Spence |
